Post-mastectomy care is personal and deserves time, privacy, and expertise. At Harrisville Pharmacy in Moncton, we offer one-on-one post-mastectomy consultations in a private fitting space, provided by certified mastectomy fitters.

Our goal is to support comfort, confidence, and daily life following breast surgery, in a setting that is respectful, unhurried, and discreet.

Amoena^® Post-Mastectomy Products

We carry Amoena®, a leading brand dedicated exclusively to post-mastectomy and breast care. Amoena® products are thoughtfully designed to support women at different stages of recovery and include:

Post-mastectomy bras
Post-mastectomy bras are designed to support comfort and healing following breast surgery. Styles may include post-surgical or compression bras used early in recovery, soft comfort bras during healing, and everyday or t-shirt bras designed to securely hold breast forms and provide a smooth fit under clothing.

Breast forms and inserts
Breast forms and inserts are designed to help restore balance, shape, and a natural appearance following breast surgery. Options may vary in shape, weight, and profile to support comfort, movement, and
individual preferences

Lightweight and partial prostheses
Lightweight and partial prostheses are often chosen during healing or when reduced weight is preferred. These options may also be suitable for individuals who have had partial breast surgery or experience asymmetry.

Swim-safe breast forms and specialty products
Swim-safe breast forms are designed for use in water and are made from materials that resist water absorption. They are intended to provide balance and shape during swimming and other water activities and are commonly chosen by individuals looking for breast prostheses suitable for swimming.

We work with Amoena^® because of their long-standing focus on quality, comfort, and innovation in post- mastectomy care.

Amoena^® Custom Breast Forms (Made-to-Measure)

For women seeking the most individualized fit available, Harrisville Pharmacy offers access to Amoena® Custom Breast Forms.

Custom breast forms are created specifically for the individual using advanced 3D scanning technology and hand-finished craftsmanship. This process allows the breast form to closely match natural breast shape, contour, and appearance, making it a highly personalized option.

The custom process involves multiple appointments, including: – An initial consultation with our certified mastectomy fitters – A scheduled visit with an Amoena representative to complete a 3D scan of the chest wall – A final fitting appointment once the custom breast form arrives

Because of the time, expertise, and customization involved, custom breast forms are more expensive and more time-intensive than standard options. This option is best suited for individuals seeking the highest level of personalization and fit.

Lymphedema Care & Compression Support

Lymphedema can occur following breast surgery or lymph node removal and may affect the arm, chest, or surrounding areas. Management often includes professional care along with appropriate compression support.

At Harrisville Pharmacy, lymphedema-related products and services are provided through our Home Health & Wellness team as part of post-mastectomy care.

We carry a selection of lymphatic bras in-store, allowing individuals to see and feel product options. In some cases, the correct size or style may need to be ordered to ensure an appropriate fit.

For arm compression, compression sleeves are ordered following a measurement appointment. Sleeves are selected based on individual measurements and recommended specifications to support appropriate graduated compression.

Fittings and measurements are completed in a private setting and are guided by comfort, prescribed recommendations, and individual needs.

We do not provide lymphedema therapy or clinical treatment. When appropriate, we can help guide individuals toward qualified lymphedema professionals for assessment and ongoing management.

Certified Post-Mastectomy Fittings & Consultations

Post-mastectomy fittings are provided through one-on-one consultations with certified mastectomy fitters in a private, dedicated fitting space at Harrisville Pharmacy. This includes mastectomy bra fittings and breast prosthesis fittings based on individual needs and preferences.

Consultations are designed to allow time for discussion, fitting, and product selection in a setting that is respectful, unhurried, and discreet. Needs may vary depending on stage of recovery, comfort preferences, and lifestyle considerations.

Many post-mastectomy products are not routinely stocked for walk-in purchase and may require special ordering. Appointments are strongly recommended to ensure privacy, appropriate product availability, and adequate time for each individual.
